The Tigers ran at the Fairbury High School on September 10, 2009.

Kent Stejskal led the boys’ team. He improved his previous best on this course. Coach Cody Hawley said, "I am sure he was somewhat disappointed with his overall placing though. Tate continues to make improvements. The other boys are still playing catch-up at this point." Commenting on the future, Coach Hawley said, "We should be improved this week with the addition of Austin Schaible. He was a latecomer to the team. I have had him catch up with his teammates practice-wise the last few weeks. I’m excited to see how the boys respond with his addition and another week of practice under their belts."

Alicia Huettner led the girls. Jessica Fisher followed her closely behind. "These two have been working together in practice. They have made each other better runners," commented Coach Hawley. Alicia’s time would have placed her 16th in the Varsity race.

*Alicia moved from Beatrice this summer and wasn’t granted a hardship from the NSAA, so she can't compete at the varsity level.*

The cross country teams travel to Hiawatha on September 17th. The junior high will also be running at this meet.
