Students selected for BOCH Honors
Four Falls City High School students were recently selected for vocal music honors. Rodney Mount, Jeff Cornell, and David von Behren were selected for the Mixed Honor Choir and Sloan Roseberry was selected for the Women's Honor Choir for the second annual "BOCH (Band, Orchestra and Choruses at the Holland Center for the Performing Arts) Honors Festival. The festival was held January 29-31. The weekend rehearsals were held at UNO, and the final concert was performed at the Holland Center in Downtown Omaha.
The students had to submit a vocal audition CD to be selected for this honor. The Mixed Honor Choir was comprised of approximately 14 singers per section with 8 sections total for a group of 120 singers. The Women's Honor Choir was comprised of approximately 14 singers per section with 4 sections for a group of 58 singers. Dr. James Stegall from Western Illinois University was the director for the Mixed Choir, and Dr. Greg Zielke from Grace University and the Omaha Symphonic Chorus directed the Women's Choir. |
