Musicians perform in contest;
3 win new outstanding awards

Winners of outstanding performance recognition during the District Music Contest are Willy Neubauer, Meshach Casey, and Rodney Mount.
The Falls City High School Music Department competed at the District II Music Contest on April 24 and 25, 2009. It was held at Nebraska City High School. This year, District II was selected to be a pilot program for the “Outstanding Performance Award." This award has been designed to recognize the top performers at District Music Contest. Recipients are students who go beyond the standard of a Superior rating in skill and musicianship. Each judge awarded one Outstanding Performance Award and up to two Honorable Mentions. Sophomore Meshach Casey was awarded an Outstanding Performance Award and Rodney Mount and Willy Neubauer were both awarded Honorable Mention Awards.
