Art students place in Duck Stamp Contest

Three Falls City High School students were named winners in the 2009 Junior Duck Stamp Contest. Austin Campbell, a sophomore, received second place for his acrylic painting of a woodduck. Josie Cummins, a junior, and Justine LaViolette, a sophmore, each received honorable mention. Josie's entry was an acrylic and Justine's a clayboard.

The winning entries will tour Nebraska, partially underwritten by Frame Masters. Prizes for the contest were underwritten by Cabela's. There were four categories K-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12 open to Nebraska students.

All three students are in Patricia Steinman's art classes.
