Math teacher chosen for state award

On Sunday, February 8, Terri Hogue received first place in the local Citizenship Education Teacher contest at the middle school level during a ceremony in Geneva. The math teacher at Falls City Middle School was nominated for the local award and was selected by the District #6 VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1765.

Mrs. Hogue's entry was then sent to the state level where she was awarded first place. She will accept the state award in June at Kearney. The state winner will now represent Nebraska as a finalist for the National Citizenship Education Teacher Award at the middle school level.
