FCHS students attend College Access Day

Kim Liebig, who is from Human Resources at Nebraska Public Power District, conducts a session during College Access Day.
On Tuesday, September 22, Falls City High School students attended College Access Day. During the event, set up like a conference, students attended sessions geared toward helping them make career decisions. All of the students chose four sessions to attend in the morning. In the afternoon, they attended required seminars and the College Fair.

- Military Careers
- Occupational Therapy
- Nursing
- Biology and Math
- Law Enforcement
- Mortuary Science
- Law/Paralegal
- Business Administration
- Auto Mechanic
- Health Career Opportunities - Field trip to Community Medical Center
- Veterinarian and Vet Tech - Field trip to Animal Health Center

Talking to the Wayne State College representative are seniors Jamie Schwarting and Amy Dunn.
After a "Food on the Front Lawn" lunch, all students attended a Student Success Seminar and an Entreprenuership Seminar. Juniors and seniors also toured the College Fair held in the large gym.
College Access Day was funded by an Education Quest grant received by Falls City High School four years ago. This was the fourth career day paid for with grant funds.
