Students use GPS's in class

A group of students work with a GPS during the field trip to Stanton's Lake in Falls City.
Falls City High School World Studies students in Mark Junker’s and Lori Rech’s classes have been working with the University of Nebraska Extension Educator Mindy Young. They are learning more about using a GPS for locating places and mapping.

Dakota Kerkow, Dakota Pentecost, Colton Strauch, and Dylan Ackerman use the GPS at Stanton's Lake.
Recently, students went down to Stanton Lake to put their GPS knowledge to work. They located various items using GPS and mapping coordinates. Mrs. Young has worked with students in the classroom as well as at Stanton Lake. Students will also be working with Google Earth and map work.
