Four students win state art awards

Four Falls City High School students were selected as winners in the Nebraska State Visual Arts Competition. These awards were selected from 1,840 art entries received from all over the state.

Tim von Behren earned a gold medal for his pencil and color pencil drawing. Slone Rosenberry received a silver medal for a pencil and wax entry. Chelsie Alexander won a bronze medal for her entry, which was a collage. Luke Ely received a bronze medal for his collage.

The awards ceremony will be on Saturday, February 28, at the Omaha Public Schools Teacher Administration Center. All four students' entries were submitted by art teacher Patricia Steinman.
