North School celebrates Veteran's Day

North School students participate in their own mini-parade in the North School gym on Veteran's Day.

Rainy weather spoiled participation in the Veteran's Day Parade in downtown Falls City for North School students. As a result, they had their own mini-parade in the North School gym. Second grade teacher Kim Oliver said, "The students were upset that we could not be in the parade, so we decided to meet in the gym."

Students and teachers sang The Star-Spangled Banner. They then marched across the stage to patriotic music, provided by physical education teacher Joe Dunn. After each class showed off their banners, the class marched through the school before returning to their own classroom.
