Grant supports Romeo and Juliet field trip

Falls City High School students watched a performance of the "Omaha Symphony Romeo and Juliet" on Wednesday, January 28. Sixty-eight English I students participated in the field trip to the Holland Performing Arts Center in Omaha.

The students were exposed to both superb acting and an unique experience
to be entertained by the Omaha Symphony. Falls City High School received a $500 grant toward trip costs from the Nebraska Arts Council. FCHS English teacher Kris Simon wrote the grant and sponsored the trip.

The Nebraska Arts Council, a state agency, has supported this arts event through its matching grants program funded by the Nebraska Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, a Federal agency. The Nebraska Arts Council has a variety of grants and service programs to help support arts events throughout Nebraska.
