Students attend social skills workshop

A group of Falls City students attended the social skills overnight workshop sponsored by the NCECBVI school on April 23rd and 24th. Students participated in music, skits, and break-out sessions that focused on conversational stacking. Special guests provided students with information on the care of hair, skin, and nails.

The students from the NCECBVI school provided entertainment dressed up as the characters from the Wizard of Oz and sang “Somewhere Over The
Rainbow." The evening dance followed a Hollywood theme. Decked out in their prom dresses and suits, students rode a trolley car and a limousine through the city before attending the prom.

On the following day, the Falls City students visited the Lewis and Clark museum and enjoyed lunch in Nebraska City. This retreat offered students social skills instruction, active participation, and community experiences, as well as making new friends.
