Spanish Club members take European trip

On Tuesday, June 3, members of the Spanish Club and sponsors left on a trip to Europe. During the 12-day trip, the travelers will see sites in three countries.
The group left Kansas City and flew to Madrid, Spain, via Chicago; Washington, D.C.; and Frankfort, Germany. The students and sponsors will have a guided sighseeing visit of Madrid, which will include the Prado Museum and the Palacio Real (Royal Palace). From Madrid, they will travel to Barcelona, Spain. They will have a guided sightseeing tour of Barcelona and will also have a walking tour.
From Barcelona, the Spanish Club members will go to Provence and Nice on the French Riveria. On Day 8 of the trip, the tour will journey to Florence, Italy, through Pisa where the group will see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. They will have a guided tour of Florence, which will include seeing Michelangelo's famous sculpture of David, the Uffizi and Pitti Palaces, and Michelangelo's burial place. The tour will end with two days in Rome. During the time in Rome, the travelers will see Vatican City, the Colosseum, and the Forum. During a walking tour of Rome, they will also see the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and the Spanish Steps.
On June 14, the tour group will return to Kansas City from Rome via Munich, Germany; Washington, D.C; and Chicago.
