Students place in county spelling bee

On Tuesday, February 9, Falls City Public Schools hosted the Richardson County Spelling Bee. In the fifth and sixth grade contest, Aaron Kurpgeweit, a fifth grader at South School, won first place. McKayla Henderson, a sixth grader at Falls City Middle School, placed second. In the seventh and eighth grade spelling bee, eighth grader Randal Kercher placed second, eighth grader Jesse Raney placed third, and seventh grader Tucker Merz placed fourth.
