FCPS Education Foundation Teachers and Employee of the Year
Superintendent Tim Heckenlively announced The Falls City Education Foundation Annual Outstanding Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year Awards and the Outstanding Employee of the Year Award during the opening session of the Falls City Public Schools Pre-Service on Monday, August 12th.
Joe Dunn, was presented the Outstanding Elementary Teacher of the Year Award. Mr. Dunn is beginning his 24th year as an elementary physical education teacher and coach.
Jason Vitosh is the recipient of the Outstanding Secondary Teacher of the Year Award. Mr. Vitosh is beginning his 21st year with the Falls City Public Schools and is the Falls City High School mathematics department chair, mathematics teacher, and the school district’s High Ability Learner Program Coordinator.
Robert Baker is the recipient of the Outstanding Employee of the Year Award. Mr. Baker has been employed for 32 years with Falls City Public Schools and has served as the District 56 Transportation Director for his entire tenure.
The purpose of these awards is to recognize excellence in the field of education. The recipients of this award play key roles in creating a school environment that promotes student achievement, safety, and health.
