Emergency Snow Routes
EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES
During inclement weather, when announced, the following will be used for emergency snow routes. When we run these routes, it will be for A.M. and P.M. routes. Falls City Public Schools will use hard surfaced Highways only.
The bus that serves the Barada, Stella, and Shubert areas will depart Shubert at 7:15 a.m. All riders in these areas must meet in Shubert, by the old Lumber Yard.
The bus that serves the Dawson and Verdon areas will leave Steve Kean’s at 7:05 a.m. and then make it’s regular stops in Verdon, leaving Verdon at 7:25 a.m. It will also make a stop at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church parking lot at Prichard Corner, leaving there at approximately 7:35 a.m.
The bus that serves the Rulo and Preston areas will leave Rulo at 7:25 a.m. All riders in this area will meet in Rule by the auditorium. On hits way back to Falls City, it will also pick up all the regular riders on Highway 159. Due to safety concerns, riders from Preston should meet at Steve Huppert’s corner at approximately 7:30 a.m.
The bus that serves the Salem area will leave the flashing light at the intersections of Highways 8 and 75 at 7:00 a.m. It will then leave Salem at 7:25 a.m. and make its regular stops on Highway 8 back to Falls City.
For the riders south of Falls City, the bus will leave the State Line on Highway 73 at 7:35 a.m. It will also make a stop at the Pony Creek road intersection at approximately 7:40 a.m.
