FCPS Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Program
Students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade are able to have fresh fruits or vegetables three days a week with the new Fresh Fruits and Vegetable Program (FFVP). Students have the opportunity to taste a variety of fruits and vegetables including kiwi, berries, watermelon, cantaloupe, peppers, peas, and spinach to name a few. This year South School is the recipient of the Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Grant. Students at North School and Middle School receive the a fresh snack through the district food service program.
