Kade Bredemeier signs with Hastings College to play Baseball
Falls City Public High School senior Kade Bredemeier signed his letter of intent on Wednesday, December 11, to play baseball for the Hastings College Broncos. Bredemeier, a three-year starter for the Tigers and the Blue Storm, posted a .357 batting average and a .449 on-base percentage his junior season with the Tigers. Last summer with the American Legion Blue Storm, he hit .293 with a .518 on-base percentage and set the Blue Storm Seniors season record for walks drawn with 24. In addition to being tough at the plate, Kade also utilized his speed on the bases by stealing 12 bags last year for the Tigers and 19 last summer for the Blue Storm. Defensively, Kade has worked to stay above a .950 fielding percentage all three seasons with the Tigers and all three seasons with the Blue Storm, which has earned him glove gloves in each of those seasons. He was able to accomplish that while playing behind the plate, on the mound, and being able to make adjustments between infield and outfield positions. Kade has earned multiple honors in baseball over the last three years, including both Lincoln Journal Star and Omaha World Herald Class B All-State Honorable Mention his Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior seasons. Kade is a three-sport standout and has played football, basketball, and baseball every year of high school.
