We are quickly approaching our fall parent teacher conferences. Conferences will be held on September 28th and 30th from 4:00PM to 7:30PM.
We are moving to an open conference format this year which means we won’t have scheduled appointments. We are asking that students attend conferences with you. Teachers believe the conferences are more useful when the parent/guardian is joined by the student.
When you arrive at the building you will be met by Mrs. Fankhauser or Mr. Bangert at the door. We will direct you to the “Home Base Teacher” where you will need to start. This teacher will have your student’s MAP scores and a building map with the location of each teacher. All Home Base Teachers will have your student in a class. The Home Base Teacher will quickly cover your student’s MAP scores and answer any questions you may have. After you finish with the Home Base Teacher you can move on to visit with the other teachers on your student’s schedule.
We ask that only 1 family be in the room with each teacher at a time for privacy. We also ask that you keep the conversation brief as some of our teachers have up to 115 students. If you need more time, feel free to schedule a time to meet with the teacher/s for a longer visit.
If you want to reduce wait time, we generally are less busy after 6:00PM and Thursday is usually slower than Tuesday.
Our shared teachers will only be here on Thursday. If you want to meet with them plan on coming to Middle School on Thursday. The shared teachers are listed below:

We also have teachers who are parents and will be conferencing in another building with their kids. Below are teachers who will be attending a conference in another building and the time they will not be available at Middle School:
Milam: Tuesday 7:15 till 7:30 (end of conferences)
Boatright: Thursday 4:00 to 4:45
Mount: Thursday 3:45 to 4:30
Bangert: Thursday 4:30 to 5:20
Huppert: Tuesday 6:30 to 7:30
This system is new to all of us and we will ask for your feedback. We made these changes based on parent responses to earlier surveys. We look forward to seeing you at conferences!
