4th grade students had a field trip to the Nebraska Capitol today. They have been studying Nebraska history all year long. What a great trip to celebrate another year of learning! Thank you to P.I.E. for making this possible by sponsoring the trip.

Last night Middle School Track wrapped up at the Auburn Relays, but not before another TWO school record fell. The boys Sprint Medley relay team (100, 100, 200, 400) of Bentley Shields, Cohen Shields, Brody Scholl, and Paxton Holmes broke the 26 year record running a 1:47.32. Later during the meet, the boys 4x100 meter relay team of Paxton Holmes, Baker Wissman, Bentley Shields, and Brody Scholl broke their own school record for the 3rd time this year running a 48.3. Lastly, we want to give a HUGE shoutout to Cohen Shields (High Jump), Paxton Holmes (Triple Jump), and Bentley Shields (Long Jump), for qualifying for the state middle school meet in Gothenburg this weekend. Congratulation boys!

On Monday, May 11th, Falls City had 21 students represent our school at the ECNC Conference Honor Band at Freeman HS! Our band members were privileged to work with Dr. Zachariah NewCheever from Nebraska Wesleyan University and Mr. Jim Kucera who was recently recognized for the Donald A. Lentz Outstanding Bandmaster Award by NSBA.

FCMS 6th grade Flute and Piccolo section is the first FULL instrumental section to achieve Black Belt Standing for 2026 🎉🎶 The flutes worked hard and constantly encouraged each other to work hard and be involved in all rehearsals inside and outside of school. Way to go!
