Brock Caudle signs with Morningside University to play Volleyball
Congratulations to Brock Caudle, Son of Chris and Penny Caudle, for signing his letter of intent to play volleyball at Morningside University in the fall. Greg and Nancy MacLean, Brock’s 18-under coaches, were on hand for the signing. They shared the following about Brock’s playing history.
Brock came to High Flyers four years ago and quickly established himself as one of the most determined and dependable athletes in our program. From the very beginning, he demonstrated a strong work ethic and commitment to improving his game, and showed it through consistent improvement over the years. Beyond his 3-hour round trips to Lincoln for practices, Brock traveled with the team across the country to compete at regional and national events, always representing our program with professionalism and pride.
As both a middle hitter and right side, Brock brought versatility and a team-first mindset to every lineup he was part of. He was willing to do whatever was asked of him to help the team succeed, embracing different roles and responsibilities without hesitation. Over time Brock did the one thing that volleyball coaches love most, he made points. Brock was reliable for a kill when called upon, he was deceptively effective from the service line, but in my mind, his big block was his calling card and became his biggest and most reliable contribution to our success.
In his career with the High Flyers, Brock competed Regionally in places like Kansas City, Des Moines, and at the National level in tournaments in Denver, St. Louis, Chicago, and Minneapolis. Over the last two years, Brock helped his team to top finishes at every Regional Tournament in which they competed. His team Qualified for USA Volleyball National Championships in 2025in Denver, and 2026 in St. Louis. Brock’s 2025 team finished 9th at the 2025 USAV Boys Junior Nationals in Minneapolis.
Brock’s consistency, work ethic, and willingness to compete made him someone coaches could rely on and teammates respected. He approached the game the right way and was a valuable part of our program. We wish Brock the best as he continues his volleyball career at Morningside University playing for coach Noah Marasco-Ayau.
Congratulations and we wish Brock the best of luck in the fall.

Principals are the steady backbone of a school, balancing leadership, compassion, and problem-solving all at once. They set the tone for a positive culture, support teachers when it matters most, and make countless behind-the-scenes decisions to keep everything running smoothly. At their best, principals aren’t just administrators, they’re mentors, listeners, and champions for both students and staff.

School lunch personnel are some of the most quietly essential people in a school. Every day, they show up early, work efficiently under pressure, and make sure hundreds of students are fed something that directly affects focus, energy, and well-being.
They don’t just serve food, they create a sense of routine and care. For many students, that lunch might be the most reliable meal of the day, and the people behind the counter help make that happen with consistency and dignity. A friendly smile, remembering a student’s preference, or just keeping things moving smoothly, those small actions add up in a big way.
Thank you!

Through the month of April North School Students have been working hard on their expectations to be character strong. Showing kindness, responsibility, empathy, and respect in all areas of the building are just a few of the qualities we are developing to become character strong kids. Congratulations to these students who constantly show these qualities day in and day out in all areas of the building. Showing their peers what it looks like to be character strong. It was close as we only had 23 grass communities to give out and a few close runner-ups!
