For the Fall Semester our 51 member HS band averaged a 3.42 GPA. 16 students held a 4.0 average for the fall! Getting work done in the classroom and creating beautiful music! Proud of these Tigers!!

Thursday the LoL Varsity Team competed against South Sioux City High. The team consisted of Josh and Peyton Brown, Ethan Boatright, Ethan Morris, and Brock Caudle.
This Monday, the Mario Kart teams compete against Wayne, NE, in their final week of the season before playoffs.



Girls JV Basketball game on Friday vs Lourdes is cancelled due to lack of numbers. Boys JV game will be moved from the Middle School to the High School with a 4:30pm start.

Wednesday after school, 6th Graders who signed up to participate in an Esports Club, got the opportunity to practice and play Smash Ultimate and Overwatch. Things got really exciting as the students quickly picked up on OW and several fun custom matches of 6v6 took place.

Happy New Year! The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program is highlighting sweet potatoes for the month of January. Sweet potatoes are usually served during holidays, but they can eaten all year round. There are many interesting facts and recipes about sweet potatoes listed on the attached pictures. Sweet potatoes are served in the cafeteria throughout the school year, usually in the form of wedges and waffle fries.


Recommendations for Covid-19 isolation and quarantine have recently changed. Please see attached image for updated Covid-19 guidelines. Students and staff should continue to stay home when they have signs of illness and refer to their healthcare provider for care.
If students or staff come to school displaying or reporting symptoms such as fever of 100F or above, new cough, new onset of shortness of breath, or new loss of taste or smell; they will be sent home. Other symptoms may be considered if they have multiple other complaints.
Falls City Public School recommends that you follow your healthcare provider's advice for close contacts and quarantining.

North School holiday door contest winner from a staff and student vote was Mrs. Heckenlively. PK-2nd grade students who receive speech and language services had a pizza party during their lunch time to celebrate. They listened to Christmas music and played Christmas trivia games.
