Dear Falls City Public Schools Families,
Students benefit from in-person learning and keeping our students in school for that instruction is a priority. Falls City Public Schools had 4 individuals test positive for Covid today. None of these cases are linked to each other through school and all of them are home isolating to prevent transmission of the virus. We had 3 cases in North School and 1 in High School. Other illnesses are also circulating in the community and flu season is upon us. Individuals should stay home when they have signs of illness and refer to their healthcare provider for care as there is not a direct health measure to follow. Please take a moment to ask your child how they are feeling and respond to complaints as needed prior to sending them to school.
If an individual comes to school displaying or reporting symptoms such as fever of 100F or above, new cough, new onset of shortness of breath, or new loss of taste or smell; they will be sent home. Other symptoms of illness to monitor for include: muscle/body aches, chills, headache, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fatigue.
Thank you all for helping us keep our community safe and healthy!
