On Friday, South School students joined the North School students for a read-a-loud opportunity. Reading aloud with a partner helps students learn how to use language to make sense of the world; it improves their information processing skills, vocabulary, and comprehension. Reading aloud targets the skills of audio learners and motivates students to read.

Just a reminder that Middle School will be having picture retakes tomorrow, Friday September 24th.

Approximately 11 Falls City Middle School Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), 17 Falls City High School FCA, and area church youth group members gathered around the flagpoles Wednesday, Sept. 22 for the national “See You At the Pole,” event. FCA is one of the many extra-curricular groups available at Falls City Public Schools. The group is sponsored by Mrs. Hogue, Mr. Miller, Mrs. Boatright, and Kristi Schawang.



The first PLC Early Release is tomorrow. Students need to have transportation for a 2 hour early dismissal. This time is utilized for teacher professional development. Thank you.

A couple of FC ESports JV Rocket League teams competed against Ord, NE, Tuesday after school. Another JV team of Paxton Armbruster, Brayden Schulenberg, and Bowdy Jones defeated a JV team from Winnebago, NE, later that evening.


The FC ESports teams competed against Winnebago, NE, Tuesday evening. The Rocket League 1 and 2 varsity teams both went 2-0 and improved to 4-0 and 3-1 respectively. The Overwatch varsity team lost their match and is now 0-2. Next Tuesday evening the Tigers face Centennial, NE.

The FCCLA members attended the Fall Leadership Workshop in Kearney to kick-off the year to learn about endless opportunities available through FCCLA! Members attended sessions about competitive events, community service projects, and chapter leadership.


FCMS parents: We mistakenly sent a letter that says you are missing paperwork to all of our parents. These letters were only supposed to go to the families missing paperwork. Ignore the letter and we will inform you of your paperwork status on the night of conferences. Sorry for the miscommunication!

The Safe Kids organization was at South School Monday evening. They helped parents with understanding child safety concerning car seats.





Tiger Cheerleaders did their best last night at Louisville. Tiger football fell 38-57.
