Vocal departments Madrigal Feaste 2023 took place Dec 2 & 3, 2023. The weekend started on Thursday evening with putting up the ceiling and ended late Sunday night with taking it all down. The students and Mrs. Sutton would like to thank all who helped decorate and who attended the Feaste. Our next Madrigal is schedule for December 2025.

19 Jr. High choir students participated in the Crete Choir festival in November, 2023 at Crete Middle School along with about 20 other schools. The day concluded with the 175 voiced choir giving a performance at 5:00 pm.
13 jr high and 13 high School choir students participated in the ECNC conference choir in November, 2023. The clinic was held in Palmyra and concluded with a concert open to family and friends.
On Dec. 8, Ms. Phillips and 4 FCHS Band Students attended Tuba Christmas in Hiawatha, KS. It is Hiawatha's 30th year hosting Tuba Christmas and the 50th Anniversary of the original Tuba Christmas which was first held at the Rockefeller Plaza Ice Rink in NYC🎄🎶

"Tis The Season" for some fun at Middle School. Each school day will have a theme until Winter Break. Dress up, have fun, and lets finish the semester strong!
Fourth grade student Scott Bachman was selected as a winner in the NDOT name a Snowplow contest. There were 1,100 entries and Scott was one of the 18 selected from the state. Students from Scott's class and South Elementary were able to get a tour of "his" snowplow truck. Scott was awarded a small version of the snowplow and a metal plaque. Scott's snowplow "A Little Pushy" will be able to be seen around the area when the snow starts to fly. Thank you NDOT for this great opportunity and Congratulations Scott!!!
Congratulations to Gunner Lippold for making it into the 2024 UNK honor band! There were over 800 auditions this year and Gunner made it into the top ensemble, second chair! He will perform at UNK on January 29th and represent our FCHS music program. Great job Gunner!
