The Tri-M Music Honor Society is an international program dedicated to the recognition of exceptional music students in grades 6-12 that meet the music, academic, leadership, and character criteria asked of every Tri-M member.
Tri-M is a program of the National Association for Music Education, which is the largest arts education association in the world.
These 11 musicians will be inducted into the honor society as new members at the formal membership presentation ceremony on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 7:00 pm in the FCHS Auditorium.
This ceremony is open to the public.
Tough night for FCMS boy's basketball. While our C team pulled out a win, B & A teams both lost tough games against Freeman. Way to continue to fight through & persevere, boys!

Saturday night senior Paige Young represented the Navy Team in the 2nd annual 4 State All Star Game at Highland Community College. Way to represent Falls City Volleyball! 🏐
Our first 6th grade band student of 2024-2025 has received Black Belt Standing in the FCMS band program! Congratulations to Kreighton Huppert for working extra hard to obtain Black Belt and helping his classmates along the way! He is the first of many who will excel in band! 🎶🎉
Middle school theater classes were spelling words by working together in small groups. Here are the 8th graders spelling "tigers". Theater is all about working together and thinking outside the box.

Middle School NJHS finished the first week of their annual food drive with 188 items. We have until November 26 to hit our goals. 300 items, Mr. Huppert gets a pie in the face. 600 items? We pie Mrs. Robeson, too. 800 earns us a teacher sing-off. 1000 is a winter dance!
On Friday, November 15th, Falls City South School and Middle School participated in the Rube Goldberg simple machines competition hosted by ESU4 in Auburn. Students were lead by Peru State College future educators to create a simple machine to do a task from provided materials. Engineering and trial and error were the key to success and having group interaction. Both teams of 5th grade and 6th grade didn't place but had a great hands on learning experience.
Supervising today's groups were the HAL sponsors of Sheyenne Farwell and Terri Hogue.

Congratulations to the Varsity League of Legends Team!
With their win over #6 Amherst, the LoL team (9-0, 6-0) will be competing in their third consecutive state tournament next Friday, November 22, at Midland University in Fremont, NE. Their match with #2 Thayer Central is scheduled to take place at 1:30 PM. All matches will be streamed on the NSESA and Midland University Twitch streams. The team consists of seniors Ethan Boatright (mid laner) and Dustin Stilen (top laner), junior Peyton Brown (jungle), sophomore Royce Capek (support), and eighth graders Kamdyn Huppert (bot laner) and Collin Roberts (top laner).
Looking for something to do this Saturday, November 16th? Come watch the middle school boys basketball team at Falls City Middle School at 9:00 a.m. and enjoy some treats from the bake sale being held by the Robotics teams. Sales will last until sold out. There are individually priced items for sale as well as free will donations on larger items. Proceeds will go towards expenses for state competition in March 2025.
