Fourth grade students study Nebraska history in Social Studies. On March 1, 1867, Nebraska became the 37th state. We celebrated Nebraska Statehood on March 1, 2024, by baking bread, making butter, building a covered wagon, and playing string games. The students had lots of fun learning with hands on activities. Fourth Grade teachers are: Mrs. Bauman, Mrs. Di Giacomo, Mr. Gibson, and Mr. Balm.

Ashleigh Kirkendall signs with Doane University to play Volleyball and run Track. Ashleigh is the daughter of Jeremy and Laura Kirkendall. In Volleyball, Ashleigh Kirkendall was the setter for four years for the Tiger Volleyball team. During her four years she racked up a total of 191 kills, 133 aces, 126 blocks, 920 digs, and 2,076 assists. Ashleigh broke the school record for assists in a career as a junior and was a member of the team that set the school record for wins in a season as a sophomore. Ashleigh goes down as the winningest (total team wins) Tiger Volleyball player ever and started every single game during that four years. She also received recognition the last three years for all-conference awards, all state awards all four years in both papers, and NCPA awards. In Track, Ashleigh is a 4 -year letter winner. She is 3 - time state qualifier, a member of the school record holding 4 X 100 relay, outstanding athlete of the year in 2023, and a leader and mentor for our track team. Her work ethic is impeccable and challenges herself to be the best version of an athlete with respect and character of representing Falls City High School Athletics.
