Happy B day to the 40 year old middle schooler Anna Thompson! Not only is she part of our amazing lunch staff but she also serves as her daughters one stop supervisor and she taught her brother how to hunt and fish! We hope you have a wonderful 40th Bday from the FCMS staff!

46 kiddos went home with a book from the Kottich family. Diana’s presence was definitely in her old kindergarten classroom today! Thank you Kottich family, for carrying on this memorial. Diana’s love for reading went into the hands of children today. #readtoyourkiddos

The third grade classes have been working on rhythm dictation. ( they don't know that's what it's called) They started out by writing their own rhythm, then using dice, then paper, then rhythm bingo. The culmination was using pretzels and m&m's to show the rhythm. The best part was they got to eat the pretzels and m&m's when they were finished! Yum!!

Today Makayla Ansel, daughter of Mark and Meridee Ansel signed with Hastings College for Cheerleading. She will be attending Hastings in the Fall of 2023 majoring in Psychology and minoring in Criminology. Makayla loved cheerleading from a very young age. She started her cheerleading career as a West Hancock Little Eagle’s cheerleader in Iowa. She participated in Little Eagles cheerleading from kindergarten to her sixth grade year. She cheered throughout her middle school years working her way to head cheerleader her eighth grade year. As a freshman, she made the West Hancock Eagles varsity cheer team. The Ansel family moved to the area in 2020 where Makayla continued her cheerleading at Falls City High School until course work required her to sit out her senior year. Coach Jordan Smith from Hastings College came to Falls City for the signing.

The Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program is highlighting Avocados in the month of April. Avocados are actually a fruit that grows on a tree. They are very good for you, because they are a good source of Vitamin B6, Vitamin C & E. If you have never tried an Avocado now is a good time to try one!
