Falls City Public Schools Education Foundation Outstanding Educator of the Year Award Recipient 2024
Superintendent Tim Heckenlively announced The Falls City Education Foundation Annual Outstanding Educator of the Year Award during the opening session of the Falls City Public Schools Pre-Service on Monday, August 12th.
The recipient of this year’s award, Skylar Kreifels, consistently demonstrates unwavering dedication, innovative spirit, and a genuine care for our school community, all of which make her a perfect fit for this honor.
As a former Falls City Public graduate, many educators had a hand in helping Skylar succeed as an outstanding student. Now, a handful of years later, she is returning the favor and supporting all of us. In her role as Technology Director, Mrs. Skylar Keifels consistently exceeds expectations, ensuring that Falls City Public Schools remains at the forefront of technological advancements. Her efforts have significantly enriched the learning environment, empowering both students and faculty members alike. Whether it’s tackling complex technical issues, implementing cutting-edge software solutions, or pioneering digital initiatives, she consistently demonstrates diligence and proficiency.
While Skylar supports students with a technology-related challenge or offers guidance to fellow staff members, her kindness and professionalism leave a mark on the ones she works with.
The purpose of the award is to recognize excellence in the field of education. The recipient of this award plays a key role in creating a school environment that promotes student achievement, safety, and health.
Yesterday, FCPS was elated to welcome our new staff members to kick off the start of our 2024-2025 school year! We also want to give a special shout out to F&M Bank & One Stop Cafe for the delicious cinnamon rolls!

High School Volleyball begins practice Monday August 12th at 3:30.
Middle School Volleyball begins practice Monday August 19th at 3:30.
There will be a meeting after school Friday, August 16th for MIDDLE SCHOOL volleyball players, 3:30-4:00.
Do to weather this morning FOOTBALL conditioning is cancelled. We will condition tomorrow Friday august 9 weather permitting

We will be having our fall football parents meeting on Monday August 5th in the High School Gym. This meeting is for all parents of football players in grades 7-12. It is very important that at least one parent attend this meeting so you get the information about the upcoming season.

If your child plans on playing middle school football we will have equipment checkout on Monday July 29th and Tuesday July 30th at 7:30AM at the stadium. Make sure all physicals and paperwork are turned in to Cathie at middle school. First practice is August 12th at 6:00PM.

This is a reminder to all prospective football players and parents in both middle and high school. All of your physicals must be complete and turned into the middle or high school office before August 12th. Players can not practice on August 12th if all the paperwork and physicals are not complete and turned in to the school secretaries before the 12th.
