6th grade students are learning about rocks 🪨 and minerals in science right now. Today they did a lab test on abrasive minerals using different types of toothpaste and eggs.





Falls City Math Team attended the UNO Math Contest in Omaha Friday.
Burke qualified in the top 50 to make the justification round. Peyton qualified for the top 6 head to head speed round.
The team finished in 1st place overall and in the data estimation event for the small school division with 14 individual place finishes as well.





Thirty five Falls City math students took the UNL Math Day PROBE 1 contest Thursday morning working to qualify for the second round of testing at the end of the month with an on campus quiz bowl to follow in November.


Tiger Volleyball team will play at the JCC Invitational Saturday, Oct. 4th at Cook.
Falls City will play Lourdes Central Catholic in the 10:00 AM first game.

Results: Tiger middle school volleyball in action tonight vs Johnson Brock. A team lost in straight sets against a tough attacking opponent. B team played fearless versus the competitive Eagles winning 2-3! Congratulations B team; that was a fun match! Thanks for all you do to support TMSVB!

Falls City High School Quiz Bowl Team attended the Young Women's Quiz Bowl in Seward today. The contest was for girls only. The team had a good day and gained a lot of experience, with many first time students.


Had to bring one of our Northwest alumni to the career fair today to help recruit the next generation of tiger teachers!!!

The Fruit and Vegetable Program will be highlighting apples in the month of October. Apples are a healthy snack, because they are high in fiber and a good source of Vitamin C. Nothing says fall more than having a caramel apple. For more information check out the attached information and recipe sheets.


September ROARS Jam winners at South School! Great job following our ROARS expectations the first six weeks of school. The winners were able to enjoy some tug of war with the teachers and have ice cream floats courtesy of Mrs. Bauman and Mrs. DiGiacomo.









Frontier Bank hosted a rally to kickoff the beginning of our In School Savings Program for the 2025-2026 school year. This program is for 3rd-5th grade students. The first deposit day is tomorrow, Wednesday. If you would like your child to participate, just send them with some money and they will deposit it first thing in the morning. What a great way to save money! If you need a permission slip, feel free to contact the South School office or you can print one on our school website. Happy Saving!
