
Falls City Elementary schools have had a great time at recess this week with the donation of new playground balls. Thank you to PIE and Girl Scout Troop 28041 for always making sure our students have what they need. We are very thankful for our community and the support for our schools.




These 6th grade students met their first quarter AR reading goal and will be celebrating after school next week with snacks, games, a movie, and social time with their teachers and each other. #readingrocks


The Human Growth & Dev. class enjoyed the toddler simulation labs working on motor skills and emotional development.






Michael Kelly from the Iowa Tribe and Sac and Fox Tribe Historical Museum presented to Falls City South School Fourth Graders about the tribes languages and history. The students completed an activity by making Native American tools out of construction paper.

The FCPS ESports varsity Valorant team (3-1) defeated Milford (1-3) last night 13-0. They play Bridgeport (3-2) next Tuesday evening then start playoffs the following week. Both varsity Smash teams won their matches against Bayard last night also.



Parent teacher conferences will be held Tuesday, Oct. 17th and Thursday, Oct. 19th from 4 pm - 7:30 pm. North and South schools have scheduled conferencing and Middle/High School have open conferencing. We look forward to visiting with you about your child(ren).

The 5th graders just wrapped up their Early American Civilization unit. They learned how large civilizations such as the Maya, Aztec, and Inca, developed in the Americas before the arrival of Europeans. They created an explanatory project, called the Codex Project and celebrated the unit with painting masks.

Congratulations to our 2023 Marching Band Drum Major, Gunner Lippold, for being accepted to perform at NMEA All State Band this November! After intense audition criteria, Gunner is one of the few students to be accepted from a class 1A-2A school. Way to go Gunner! 🎶🐅🎉



Last week in Physical Science, students identified variables (manipulating, responding, and the controlled variables) to better understand how changing the mass influences the Kinetic Energy of an object by measuring the work performed on a cup.

On Wednesday, October 18th Falls City Elementary students and staff are encouraged to wear ORANGE to show that we believe no child should ever experience bullying. Mr. Nelson and Ms. Osterhaus worked collaboratively on a bullying unit and Kreighton Huppert was the winning designer for the 2023 shirt contest.

The FCPS ESports varsity Valorant team defeated Southern this morning 13-1 to improve to 2-1 on the season. Next Tuesday they compete against Milford. All matches are streamed via Twitch.
