Falls City Middle School 7th and 8th graders competed at Peru State College on Friday, March 24th in the ESU 4 Quiz Bowl competition.
A total of 4 teams comprised of 20 students participated in pool play and tournament action. The 7th grade team of Kenley Alexander, Brandon Feighner, Camden Jean, Elijah Leyden and Burke Wissman finished 4th out of 24 teams. Congratulations to all who participated.

The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) is pleased to announce the student recipients of the Winter 2022-2023 Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association (NCPA) Academic All-State Awards. Since 2006 this NSAA Awards Program has recognized students who meet the criteria for nomination by their school in the season of their activity. These students escaped and "trapped the leprechaun" during an ELA escape room. The escape room focused on sequencing, author's purpose, fiction and nonfiction reading comprehension, main idea & details, inferring, context clues & vocabulary work!

These sixth graders presented a speech in their classrooms and moved on to a schoolwide contest. The topic was the greatest American hero. The top three will move on to the Eastern Nebraska District speech competition in Omaha in April. Baseball today at Plattsmouth has been postponed due to cold temperatures. Make-up date will be March 31 at 4:30pm and 6:30pm.
NJHS practiced leadership skills and working together to build the highest pvc tower using only one hand! Two teams won different rounds. The activity was a culmination of a "Leadership Summit" unit with Kaytlyn Kennedy, UNL Extension.
Applederas Show Choir recently competed at "The Rock" competition and received 2nd place in their division.

Attention Sophomore class parents, the Class of 2025 students were given trash bag fundraiser forms today. An ice cream sundae bar will be given to the students who sell 10 or more trash bags. All profits will help pay for prom next year. 💃🪩🕺
