FCMS was visited by former student Rich Georges today.  He was a student at FCMS in 1955.  He promised his mom he would return a FCMS library book from 1955.  He also was kind enough to make a donation to our PBIS fund.  Thanks Rich!  (and no, the donation was not a fine lol)

Student leadership week is April 24-29. FCMS would like to recognize Evie Rue, 8th grade, who has attended ESU 4 Student Leadership Academy with other NJHS students and has volunteered for a leadership opportunity on  the ESU Student Leadership Academy planning team for 2022-2023 along with 6 other students from 3 other schools! Congratulations, Evie! We appreciate your leadership and representing Falls City!

Here is our write-up for the Convention.

The Falls City FFA chapter had a busy week last week attending the Nebraska State FFA Convention on April 6-8th. Students attended sessions, competed in their contests, and made new friends! 
The parliamentary procedure team consisting of Makayla Mason, Jodie Uhri, Justin Brewer, Eliza Kuker, and Jozie Kirkendall, earned a bronze plaque. 
The welding team of Ray Feek, Thomas Fields, Wyatt Olberding, and Peyton Doerr; Earned blue ribbons and top 15 in OA and Arc were Ray and Thomas. Members who competed in the livestock management contest are Justin Brewer, Ray Feek, Jodie Uhri, Cayleigh Eickhoff, and Makayla Mason. 
For the veterinary science team of Jozie Kirkendall, Makayla Mason, Cayleigh Eickhoff, and Katelynn Titus; Jozie Kirkendall and Makayla Mason each earned white ribbons. For the livestock evaluation team of Katelynn Titus, Kaedyn Courtney, Jozie Kirkendall, and Kenzie Johansen Katelynn Titus earned a red ribbon. 
Makala Mason was a Finalist in her Small and Companion Proficiency area,  placed 2nd overall in that area!  To finish our State FFA Convention, members attended the final convention session which celebrates members for earning the highest degree the State FFA Association has to offer.  Receiving this degree from the Falls City FFA chapter were; Justin Brewer, Ray Feek, Eliza Kuker, and Makayla Mason.  Another good convention for the Falls City FFA Chapter!
