Congratulations to Quinne Knight, our terrific tiger! Quinne is a thoughtful student who supports and cheers for her classmates. She follows the R.O.A.R.S. expectations in the hallway, at lunch, and in the classroom. During the Daily 5, she stays on task and completes her work. She’s a role model and leader during small group time. Quinne always does her best and she is a very respectful student.

On April 25 2021 the annual Falls City FFA banquet was held. Members throughout the year were resilient even through the challenges Covid threw at them. Banquet was able to be held in person, though we were unable to have normal numbers, we did utilize social distancing. We had our annual pork meal thanks to Frederick Farms, JPs, FFA members, and amazing sides thanks to the kitchen staff. The banquet would not be the same without you! Jacob Craine Places 3rd at the NSESA State Tournament The Falls City Public Schools ESports Program competed in their Nebraska Schools ESports Association (NSESA) Spring Season State Tournament Friday, April 16. Senior, Jacob “Mick” Craine, qualified for the NSESA’s Division 2A Final Four State Tournament hosted by Wayne State College by winning his first two rounds of the NSESA’s playoffs in early April. Jacob qualified in the game of Hearthstone, which is a fast-paced strategy card game played on the computer. After losing his first match of the state tournament to top-seeded and eventual champion JoopyGoopy (Blizzard Account Name) of Louisville, MicktheGreat defeated SCRBoss of Broken Bow to claim 3rd Place. Jacob finished the season with a record of 14-6. The other two games being played this Spring season were Super Smash Bros. Ultimate played on Nintendo Switch and League of Legends played on computer. In Super Smash Bros., each school is allowed three varsity teams; each consisting of two players. Falls City’s Team #1 lost to one of Broken Bow’s teams, Team #2 lost to on of Kearney Catholic’s teams, and Team #3 lost to one of Amherst’s teams; all in the first round of playoffs. The League of Legends varsity team, which consists of five players, lost in the first round of the playoffs to the eventual champion Wayne, NE. The FCPS ESports Association’s coaches, Susan Findlay, Jamie Milam, and Kory Huppert are all very proud of the work the student-competitors have done this season. This Spring season the NSESA changed from two divisions to three because of the addition of multiple schools. Falls City currently resides in Division 2A with other schools of similar size. There are also Divisions 1 (largest schools) and 2B (smallest schools). More changes could be set for next Fall because of the addition of more schools, who have already confirmed membership in the NSESA. For more information on the Nebraska Schools ESports Association, you can visit their website at https://nebraskahsesports.com/.
