We are excited to announce that Mr. Paul Wertenberger will be joining our High School team as one of the CTE/Industrial Tech teachers for the 2024-2025 school year. Mr. Wertenberger has experience teaching in the CTE/Industrial Tech field and will bring a great wealth of knowledge to continue to build our programs and utilize these skills to promote the development of our scholars.

First grade finished their garbology unit with Mrs. Jami Ankrom through UNL extension. They made recycling posters, edible landfills, and made their own recycled paper.

Fifth grade students visited Morrill Halll for their field trip. They were able to see a show in the planetarium and many exhibits related to nature, wildlife animals and the history of Nebraska. This opportunity was made possible by Partners In Education. Thank you for everything you do for our students.

Fourth grade students study Nebraska history in Social Studies. On March 1, 1867, Nebraska became the 37th state. We celebrated Nebraska Statehood on March 1, 2024, by baking bread, making butter, building a covered wagon, and playing string games. The students had lots of fun learning with hands on activities. Fourth Grade teachers are: Mrs. Bauman, Mrs. Di Giacomo, Mr. Gibson, and Mr. Balm.










To celebrate the end if the ELA Geology Unit, Mrs. Di Giacomo’s student each got a geode that they broke open to see what was inside. The students loved it and were excited to see what their geodes looked like inside.






The 7th grade QuizBowl team from Falls City Middle School add their 1st Place ECNC conference plate onto the conference board.


On Monday, March 25th Sacred Heart hosted the annual Richardson County Middle School QuizBowl. 1st place went to Falls City Middle School and 2nd place to HTRS. Congratulations to all the participants and those who came to support and watch.


On March 25th, Jerremy Fankhauser, one of three of the Drone Technician's from Omaha Public Power District, works out of the Syracuse OPPD office came to give a presentation of how drones are used in his occupation. The audience were Falls City Middle School HAL students.



Today, five Juniors had the opportunity to attend the Capitol Forum on America's future put on by Humanities Nebraska. #Leaders



Our Early Childhood Education class began the RealCare baby simulations. Each student will care for the baby for two nights.

Some updates going into the final weeks of the NSESA Spring Season. Rocket League (9-1) won two big matches last week defeating both Thayer Central teams, which are both top 10 teams, placing Falls City 5th in the Division 3 standings. They have one more match with Bayard before the playoffs start.
The League of Legends team (3-1) was defeated last week by the top-ranked and defending state champion Amherst. They have one more match against Bridgeport on Tuesday at 6:30 PM before playoffs start.
Our Smash team (2-1) has two make-up games this evening at 3:45 and 4 PM.


In math, 6th graders worked with a partner conducting a theoretical vs experimental probability lab by tossing two coins simultaneously. They then drew conclusions based upon the results of the activity concerning the difference between theoretical and experimental probability.
