DAR Reavis- Ashley contest winners in the 5th grade - 12th grade were recognized for placing 1st-3rd in the local and state contest. Alaina Jackson (1st), Elianna Bruxellas (2nd - not pictured), and Caroline Powell (3rd) advanced to place in the North Central Regional Contest! Ella Kobza- not pictured.

FCPS has been informed that power should be returned to FCMS later this evening. As a result, we plan to conduct a regular school day at middle school for Friday, April 12th. If that changes, we will let stakeholders know as soon as possible. Thank you.
There will be no middle school track practice today due to the unexpected early dismissal. We will have regular track practice tomorrow.
Due to an unexpected power outage at FCMS, school will be dismissed today for middle school student only at 10:00.
Bus services will be provided for students requesting transportation to rural areas only. No shuttle. We will be releasing cell phones to students & will be requesting students contact parents/guardians for dismissal instructions.

FCMS Honors night &. 8th grade promotion will take place on Monday May 13th at 5:30 P.M. at Pritchard auditorium. We look forward to celebrating with all of our scholars & families.
Congratulations to Ashleigh Kirkendall on being selected to play in the 1st Annual 4-State All Star volleyball game. The game will be played Sunday at 2:30 at Highland Community College. Congrats Ashleigh! 🏐

The Falls City Educational Foundation is now accepting nominations for their Outstanding Faculty & Staff Awards. These awards honor those who have demonstrated excellence in teaching, collegiality, and contributions in promoting high-quality education in our school district. Please take the time to consider nominating individuals for these awards.
Awards presented include Outstanding Secondary Educator, Outstanding Elementary Educator, and Outstanding Classified Employee. The awards will be presented during the Pre-Service session on August 12th.
Nominations submitted on the appropriate form will be accepted by the Foundation from any patron or employee of the school district. Nominations are due in the Central Office by June 7, 2024.
The FCMS students and staff got to enjoy watching the solar eclipse today. Thank you to the Branched Oak Observatory for donated the glasses!!
The Falls City High School Band, Jazz Band, and Orchestra will be showcasing their spring concert on Monday, April 15th at 7:30 following the pre-contest Vocal Recital at 6:00. Free Will Donations will be at the entrance to the main gym! We hope you will attend and enjoy! 🎶🎉🌿
