October is Principals Month! Today, the Nebraska Council of School Administrators visited the Capitol, where Governor Jim Pillen signed a proclamation recognizing October as National Principals Month in Nebraska. North School’s own Mrs. Leyden, President of the Nebraska Association of Elementary School Principals, spoke on behalf of public school principals across our state. Thank you, principals, for your leadership and dedication to students and staff every day! 🧡📚

Congratulations to Middle School Cross Country runner Benjamin Furnas . Benjamin is a 7th grade student at FCMS and competed in the State Middle School Cross Country meet last Saturday placing 58th out of 227 runners in classes C and D.

Congratulations to Gabi Young for passing 1,000 career digs last night during the ECNC tournament. Along with this accomplishment she is now the school record holder in career digs as a junior. Congrats Gabi! 🏐

Falls City Tigers will journey to Mead to play the Palmyra Panthers in 2nd round ECNC volleyball. Game time is 5:30 PM. Steaming is available under Mead High School.

On Thursday, October 9, the Falls City Elks presented a check for $600 to the Falls City Middle School Robotics program sponsored by Terri Hogue assisted by Jami Ankrom. Students will be competing at state in March 2026. The check is presented by Roger Lampe and Ben Hullman.

Tiger Volleyball will be playing Elmwood-Murdock in the first round of the ECNC Tournament. The game will be played at Freeman High School at 5:00 PM. Tuesday and Thursday's game times and locations will be determined by first round games.
